Grinding shop

The grinding of the spiral cutting tools of hand cylinder mowers is performed in a department equipped with cylindrical and surface grinders.

As for simplier contact lawnmowers, where the cylinder edge touches the lower knife are used 3 semiautomatic cylidrical grinding machines with manual operator. For superior and more silent non-contact lawnmowers we have available 4 automatic cylindrical grinding machines, which can be ground by knife cylinder with accuracy to +/- 0,02 mm. The cutting edge of lower knives is ground on semiautomatic facegrinding machines as well. During one season we can grind up to 200.000 pieces of cylinders and lower knives.
